Getting to Cómpeta is straight forward by car and takes about an hour. You take the motorway along the coast until your get to Algarrobo-Costa and then take the windy road up the mountain to Cómpeta.
It is possible to arrange for a local Cómpeta taxi to pick you up or drop you off at the airport. The price is about €70 one-way. There are a few local taxi drivers. Please ask for their details. They speak English.
Alternatively, you can take an airport taxi or book a local Malaga taxi to take you to Cómpeta.
There is a bus service (Loymer bus company) that runs from Malaga to Cómpeta three times a day during the week and twice a day at the weekend and festival days. In addition there are two services a day to Torre del Mar.
From the airport, you will need to get the train to Malaga Maria Zambrano station and from there you can take the bus to Cómpeta. The bus takes about 1.5 hours from Malaga.
No, it doesn’t. However, there is a public swimming bath and you can use the pool at the Hotel Balcón. It costs €5 to use the hotel pool and a further €5-10 to hire a sunbed for the day. The hotel is a few minutes walk from La Casita.
We think La Casita is the perfect size for two people. Any more would be a bit of a squeeze!
Unfortunately not. The size of La Casita doesn’t lend itself easily for children’s facilities.
Oh, yes! The terrace is south facing and gets the sun from dawn to dusk. It has a great view across the village and down to the coast. On a clear day you can see the Rif Mountains in Northern Africa
The terrace is equipped with a bistro set where you can have breakfast and a couple of sun loungers.
Yes, La Casita has fibre optic broadband up to 100 Mbps.
Yes, the TV has a Mag IPTV box which gives a number of European TV channels as well as Netflix
Yes, La Casita has a small washing machine. There is a clothes’ line for drying clothes on the terrace.
Yes, an iron, an ironing board and a hair dryer are provided
As the centre is a maze of narrow, mainly pedestrian streets., we suggest parking on Av. de Canillas between Plaza del Carmen and the Corivan supermarket.
La Casita is a few minutes walk away, down Calle Periana and then right down Calle Alcaucin.
